my day out in London

So, they other day, I went for a really nice day out in London.

I started off at Green Park and walked down Piccadily road. I went in to Fortnum and Masons for a quick browse...and to spray myself with some au de toilette haha.

Then I just wondered round the streets around there as they have some interesting markets/alleyways and lovely buildings. I tried to get in to the Reform Club (which is where Phileas Fogg started his journey in Around the World in 80 Days)...but the nice gentleman on the door politely told me that, as I was not a member, I was not allowed in...oh well, their loss.

I went to the British Museum which was really interesting. I saw the Rosetta Stone, which is how we were able to translate the Egyptian Heiroglyphics. They were able to do this becuase the same speech was written in 3 different languages...pretty cool.

There was also a load of primary school children leaning on ancient egyptian tombs using the sooth surface to do their work! You can see them in the yellow jackets in the left of this picture.

I then went to work to meet up with eveyone and we walked to the Langham hotel, which was really posh.

Had a lovely tea (red lychee) and lots of sandwiches, cakes, and scones.

Then we got taxis to Camden where we went to a Cuban cocktail bar.
